A time in my life when I was exposed to entrepreneurship was during my junior year of high school. My AICE Business Studies teacher placed us into groups of five and named me as the leader of my group. Essentially, our task was to develop a business from scratch and presenting our customized business via a PowerPoint presentation during class. I came up with the idea of a Drive Thru Pizza Place, and subsequently assigned roles to the other members of my group. Ultimately, we received an A+ on the group project due to the fact that our business seemed realistic and had the potential to succeed. Also, I served my role as the leader by keeping our group organized and productive, speaking for the majority of the presentation, communicating with other team members on a daily basis, and creating the PowerPoint which we used for our presentation. In addition, I decided to enroll in ENT 3003 for a plethora of different reasons. Essentially, I believe that I could acquire valuable knowledge about entrepreneurship and learn how to properly start and structure a business in the real world. Ultimately, I hope to gain as much knowledge as I possibly can in terms of the basics of developing an effective and sustainable business. I would also like to learn how to improve my understanding of what it takes to become a successful businessman/entrepreneur in our current society.
Your story is really cool and I love the idea of a Drive Thru Pizza place. I think our reasons for taking the class is the same where we think we can attain valuable knowledge and problem solving. Sounds like you solved a problem I did not even think of with a new pizza place.
